Dan Hamilton has been a successful business owner for over 30 years, and has developed deep ties in both the residential and business communities of Cypress County.

In his youth, Dan had little interest in politics, but his unique view as businessman and his personal network with others who were also trying to be successful in Cypress County led him to believe he could make a positive difference in Dunmore. He wanted to make it easier for families to move here, build in Dunmore, benefit from local recreational and municipal services, be safe, and prosper. He recognized the challenges individuals face in a small community, and also the absolute privilege it can be to contribute and thrive in one.

An on-the-job learner, Dan threw himself into every aspect of Council business, and voted to represent the best interests of Ward 5 to his best ability. Within the first year of service, Dan found great satisfaction and a love of municipal government. Throughout his time on Council, he has taken every opportunity for additional education and training. Over the last 12 years, Dan has become an extremely knowledgeable asset to Council, and has history and experience to weigh new opportunities and make decisions for our community.
